Daring to share our vulnerabilities in the workplace doesn't make us less professional—just more human.
Vulnerability is still too often a taboo subject in the corporate world...
Worse yet, the myth of invulnerability and zero-defect cultures can have a destructive impact on innovation, performance, team spirit—and even mental health.
Born from reflections on my various professional experiences (as an operational manager, HR professional, coachee, and coach), as well as from my personal life and motherhood, vulnerability naturally emerged as the theme of my coaching certification thesis in 2022:“Daring to Be Vulnerable to Unlock Your Full Power.”
It was while presenting this work in the form of volunteer talks that I realized just how deeply this topic resonates with professionals—and decided to share it more broadly.
My ambition is to contribute to the emergence of vulnerable leadership—as fertile ground for sustainable performance.
Through this keynote talk, I propose:
First, to jointly debunk 5 common myths about vulnerability and illustrate how embracing it can unlock both individual and collective potential.
Second, to explore practical tools and strategies—simple yet effective—to progressively shape a corporate culture that makes more room for vulnerability, and in turn, for sustainable performance and innovation.
« When we reach out to share our fears, hopes, struggles and joys, we create little sparks of connection. This shared vulnerability casts light into normally shadowy corners. Like a string of twinkle lights»
